Only tv I watched today was CNN Headline news this morning. Unfortunatly "Robot" Meade has the week off so I did not get to enjoy the queezy fealing her face provokes in me.
Finished the Iron Man novelitation. Ending still anti-climatic.
Picked up and started The Ashes of Worlds. The author has put his character in such a deep hole that I can't wait to see how he manages to tie it all together.
Early bed since it will be anouther early day.
Got up quite early considering the 3 am lights out. Q came over and inspected the now dry paint then we went to breakfast and grabbed some more paint samples. I do believe that all colors have been selected.
Picked Beau up and headed for Spokane. Beau is going to be my helper for the next couple of days. He will be watching the process as I complete the development. Sould be fun or at least would be if not for the 97 degree outside temperate without AC.
Watched the end of Last Comic Standing and a Family Guy. Plus some Onion Videcasts. Also watched the new Venture Bros online at the hotel.
Still reading the Iron Man novelitation. Peter is doing a great job fleshing out the plot of a great movie. It is just little things like having Tony start his attack on the Mandirin in the Mark III armor from Dubai instead of California as appeared on screen. I remember seeing that bit and thinking that would be a very long flight in a tin can.
Watched some spectacular spider-man.
Read some more Iron Man
Started to move more stuff down to the bonus room to make carpeting and painting easier. Should have done more than I did...
Watched Weeds, Secret Life of Call Girl (only giving one more episode to entertain me), Wipeout, I survive a Japanese Gameshow, part of Last Comic Standing, Doctor Who.
Watched 10000 BC was not as bad as reviewers lead me to believe. Should be treated as not a story of the past but a Legend. In that context I was entertained becaue I was not stuck on the fact that Wooly Mamouths were being used to create the pyramids.
Read the Dare Dare Vol 1 trade. Started the Iron Man novelitation by Peter David. He does a really good job of expanding the movie stories. He has done most of the Marvel Movie books. Even he could not explain what the modivations of the character in Spider-man 3.
Six Frigates fun fact: the leading account of the War of 1812 was writen by Theodore Roosevelt. He wrote it because the leading British account was full of bias and the american versions were romatic claptrap.
Played some MGS4. I have managed to get my easy game caught up to my Normal game. Soon I will be watching really long cut scenes again.
Today was Scott's last day. Sad Paul.
Finished of this weeks comics. I am starting to get excited by Final Crisis. This weeks issue was much better.
Read Walking Dead 8. It is a good thing that Kirkman is not the writer of my life because he is kind of a dick to his characters.
Finished Six Frigates. My remembrance of America history is crap, so I was kind of surprised at how close the newly formed collection of states almost fell apart. I was also amused the the War of 1812 did not end until 1815 I also did not know that Andrew Jackson's victory in New Orleans after the war was over stopped the planned sucesion of the New England states. How different would it have been if the Civil War been fought at this point of history.
Carpet guy measured the place today. 146 square yards of carpet will be required.
Tried a new mexican restraunt with Quiana. Was pretty good. I will go back.
Look at paint colors with Q as well. I still have no color sence. I should just hire someone to do it while I am away so that I can stop thinking about it.
Watched an older SNL with Q. She love "The Beef".
Played no games today. Wii Fit will probably be pissed.
Read only comics today. Yah comic wednesday! I am getting excited to finish Six Frigates though. Last night the British started to show that a superior force is better than superior ships.
On a side note I found out that my car is smaller that Q's. They are the same width but hers is a foot longer.
Got home today to find all of the windows plasic wraped over. Exterior painting has begun. Thankfully it is not to hot so that the lack of ventelation is not a problem.
Watched some Spectacular Spider-man and Middle Man. Have not desided what I think of Middle Man yet. It is bizzare in a cool way but I have not desided if it makes up for the poor stories.
Picked up and watched the second Futurama movie The Beast with a Billion Backs. It was fun but suffered the same problem of the 1st movie in that it is design to broken in to separate episodes in the future so the pacing is strange plus it is just to long.
Read some more Six Frigates. War of 1812 in full swing. America getting butt kicked on land and kicking ass at sea. Totally oposite what was predicted at the onset of the conflict. At the start of the war the British Navy was made up with over 600 ships while the US had under 40. Part of the reason for the success was British overconfidence and there long ongoing war against Napolian.
Start playing Boom Blox on the Wii. Very fun. Did a little bit on Wii Fit Not enough I need to step up.
Went to the dentest to get premenant crown applied. No numbing or pain. Which ruled.
Restarted Metal Gear Solid 4 since I was losing interest due to the constant restarting of beginning of Act 2 (10 plus times). I probably should not have started out on "normal" since I am far from the MGS master or even vetern. I may restart again to the basic setting because easy was really really easy...
Tried out the Wii Fit for the first time. I suck at the Tree Yoga Pose... According to the game my BMI is 26 and should be below 25. To get to that I need to lose 6 pounds. I think I am going to try the daily exersise but will be tough with all the upcomming travel.
Read some more of the Six Frigates. US discovered that embago does not work very well when you cut off your biggest client and he can stop you from trading with anyone else.
Ordered Blast Internet form Comcast. Doubled download and trippled upload but I will aparently need to go to the Comcast store and rent a new modem if I want the full 16 meg down and 4 up. Also found out that I will be able to return cable box and get cable card and self install. No appointment for this dude.
Went to Home Despot and got the carpet process under way. Will soon be contacted about setting up a messurement.
Went to see Get Smart. Was fun but not funny. Think Beverly Hills Cop not Austin Powers.
Played Mario Kart Wii and Metal Gear Solid 4 (made no progress).
Watched some more of Season 2 of Venture Bros.
Read some more trades (Conan 0 and Countdown to FC 1)
