Pasta Snake

No Super Boring Blog is not back. I just saw something awesome yesterday and wanted to share.

The picture is the output of a pasta press while it is running in prep mode

Clean Sweep

It is actually really nice to have the main floor picked up and clean. Hopefully I can make it a couple of weeks.

Watched True Blood(Still 40 minutes of spinning with 5 minutes of acceleration), Entourage(was good), Big Bang(everyone felt like forced) and HIMYM(liked the Hockey bit a bunch but not digging overall storyarc)

Finished main game of Incredible Hulk still working on some achievments. Played some Halo 3 with Duece.

Actually got a refreshing nights sleep last night... Hopefully I have put my ghost to bed for a while... That would be damn convenient.

Wasted

Had great plans for the day. Instead I spent some time with the Jasons and wallowed. Did get the main room picked up at least...

Only played Disgaea 3 today but I did end up picking up some new games at the BTGOF sale at TRU.

Watched Smallville(this show is like a wreck on the side of the road just can't stop watching), Clone Wars(really good again), Supernatural(still entertaining), Night Rider(ummm cheese flavored plus KITT is a submarine), Santuary(not really digging plus Tapping sounds weird with the accent), Skins(2nd season not as good as 1st), Amazing Race(Stray Bullets T-shirt), and Dexter(screw the code).

Finished the latest Blue Beetle Trade and it was really good.

2 birthdays in one

Beau and Jim 2.0's combined birthday party. Lots of Rock Band and Scales.

Played Incredible Hulk and Disgaea 3.

Watched Privileged(last episode for me. Did not live up to pilot), Survivor (why do I keep watching this?), and The Office (awkward).

Just saw a new AT&T commercial and I want a T-Rex at my next birthday party

Good TV day...

Because of the late night left work early.

Went to Target and found the last of the first wave of JLU figures... Just before the second wave is supposed to hit...

I think I found the entertainment center set that I want. Seems to meet all of my requirements except it is a bigger than I want but I think it will work.

Watched My Own Worst Enemy(Tivo preview very good. Kind of worried if they can pull off a story engine), Grey's Anatomy(better than premire but still not very good), Life on Mars(not bad but not as good as BBC), Eleventh Hour(interesting), and Stargate Atlantis(Shanks and Asgardian could not ask for more).

Played Disgaea 3 and Incredible Hulk(locked up on me again. Should just change games but I like destroying things). Started Halo 3 on Legendary with Duece.

Came to the realization that I need to get home in order. Cleaning person will be here on Monday and I have the same stuff stacked on stairs as I did 8 weeks ago!!!

Online Gaming Thursday... Not!

Today was supposed to be the first Online Gaming Night but I got called to deal with a bad network in the dirty plant.

On a completely different sucky thing I discovered that the big training document that I did for PRCS was on the memory stick I lost in Spokane and the only version that I can find is only 75% done... Only thing worse than documentation is re-documentation.

Before heading out I got the opertunity to play Disgaea 3 and Incredible Hulk. The Hulk did lock up on me again though...

Watched half of Kath and Kim(unwatchable) and the premire of CSI(no way they would let them investigate Warrick's death).

Word of the day: Flater

Road day at work...

Comic Wednesday... George's beard is bushy...

Played Incredible Hulk. Watched The Shield (double double cross), Pushing Daisies(still amazing) and Criminal Minds(on the chopping block needs a good serial kiler).

Only slightly delayed

Worked from home again. Was just as productive but felt less fufilling since instead of competing items on the mythical list I kept adding them.

Played Incredible Hulk and Disgaea 3. Watched Simpsons(same old same old), Chuck(still not sure why CIA wants Chuck to work retail), Heroes(I really dug this episode) and Sara Conner(this post brought to Dodge Ram).

Monday, October 6, 2008

Why not?

Landed a big project at work... Will need to work on balancing IT and fun work...

Finished Lego Batman achievements and made some progress on The Incredible Hulk. Also played some Disgaea 3.

Watched Mad Men (only last three minutes have been interesting the last three weeks), True Blood (loosing interest rapidly), Entourage(fastest 25 minutes on TV), Big Bang Theory(love this show), How I Met Your Mother(feels like they are preparing for shark jump), Californication (not as good with Hank in a relationship), and Robot Chicken(horrible episode, so bad that I take back laughter from previous episodes).

Started reading the Ronin Absolute...

Sunday, October 5, 2008

Look at me being on the correct day and everything.

I think someone just got dumped. They are listening to Country Music at a very loud volume. Normally I can't hear my neighbors but today is an exception.

Another no sock day!!

Spent the day doing Laundry, playing Disgaea 3, watching TV, and deconstructing Lego sets.

Saturday re-belated

Went to Brickcon with Jason B. Was too crowded. Aparently over 3,200 people.

Went a hunt for Real Soda. A buisness that sells Soda in bottles. Was tougher than it should be since they just moved to a new location.

Then we went to Grinders for lunch. Was very good but I choose poorly. I went with the first thing that caught my eye and have been craving a couple of the other sandwiches ever since.

Then it was back to my place where Jason built Lego sets and I deconstructed them. Death Star II is now in pieces.

Watched some movies while we Lego-ed. Nothing very good though. Also watched the first two episodes of Star Wars Clone Wars. Was actually entertaining. Makes me wish I had gone to see the movie.

Friday re-belated

You would think I could do this on time more than a day in a row...

I bought a new clock radio... I don't think I will be keeping it. Philips really needs to hire me to design their clock radios.

Got a haircut... Hopefully I won't put them out of buisnes like the last two salons.

Finished Lego Batman...

Watched some TV and read some comics...

Back on track? - day 1

Stupid alarm clock is fucking up again. I did find a new alarm clock with the gentle wake feature but it is so designer that I think it looks unusable...

Went to the dirty plant again...

Had a playtest at Microsoft in the early evening so I went straight there instead of heading home for a very short time. Stoped at Comic Stop 3 and looked for a new winter coat. I am having a hell of a time with this. I want a coat that is comfortable from 30 - 60 degrees, that looks professional, does not look super bulky, has no or limited logo (not paying for their advertising), and has an inside pocket big enough for a book. The trend for this year is for all the coats to have the layered look. Which makes them all look super bulky...

The playtest blew. I hate playtesting games that have been out for a month

Belated Wednesday

Last Belated Day...

Comic Wednesday but kind of shitty only 3 comics and three trades.

Watched The Shield and Pushing Daisies. I was disapointed in Chuck for being the same show week after week but with PD I like it because it is the same.

More Lego Batman. Only 6 more red bricks/mini kits to go.

Belated Tuesday

More of the same...

Belated Monday

Magic with George...

More TV...

More Lego Batman...

More Wolverine Lifeblood...

Belated Sunday

No sock day!!!

Decided to not do anything productive today. Just watched TV built more Lego sets and played Lego Batman.

Restarted Wolverine Lifeblood...

Belated Lego Saturday

Got up early to setup for a Lego Building Part-a. Only Jason B and (eventualy) Geoge were able to make it. We mainly watched movies that I had Tivoed in HD. Including Balls of Fury(better than expected), Employee of the Month(so-so), and Bee Movie (Fun).

Played Lego Batman and watched lots of random TV. Still reading comics from Wednesday.

Belated Friday

Not sure what I am going to do with SBB. I have enjoyed doing this for the last few months but with the start of the new TV season I have found that I am being stretched pretty thin between the video games, comics, condo projects... I ended up staying up really late on this night (and the next) and just did not have the energy to fill out a report of the days activities. Then I got behind and until today (Thursday) did not have the free time to catch up. Since these next 6 posts were not done the day of they will tend to have a lot of generalizations... Deal with it!

Went to the doctor today to see about my cough which has been getting worse the last week. May have figured out why before I arrived since I got the first cold symptoms... We deside to wait two weeks to before checking for lungs...

Left work early. Still tired from lack of sleep on Tuesday night and I had finished goals for the week.

Went home and watched a ton of TV and played more Lego Batman.

Went to get my hair cut and the salon was empty! I really liked my last cut too.

Friday, September 26, 2008

Back to Work

Back in the office today. Not very productive. Lots of things happening at once but personal goals not being met.

Watched Fringe and The Mentalist. Mentalist has potential. More House than Psych but I was entertained and that is all I can ask...

Played more Lego Batman. Finished Story Mode. No going through and doing Free Play.

Sick Comic Day

Spent the day sitting on the couch trying to keep food inside me. Finally better in the afternoon.

Played Lego Batman.

Watched Eureka, Primeval, Entourage and other things that did not leave a mark.

Lego Dark Night

This post and the next two were done in the future for reasons that will come clear...

Worked from home. Got a ton done. Very productive.

Picked up Lego Batman at lunch. Either my second or third favorite Lego game depending if you call the complete saga a new game. Original Trillogy is still my favorite.

Cooked some burgers on the grill. One of them was under done but not very much so. But it aparently was enough to make sick starting at about 2 AM.

Watched Heroes and maybe other things. Kind of running togethor.

Monday, September 22, 2008

Stupid Street Date

Work was productive. Stinky did not stink today. Figures that he did not after I brought it to the attention of the Comtroller...

Finished Spider man Friend or Foe.

Crap forgot to mention the scary thing from yesterday. Heading home from George's, my passenger windshield wiper flew off. These were not new wipers so I have no idea why it happened but it did scare the crap out of me. Picked up a new blade today, so no repeat of this mornings driving in the mist with no wiper.

While I was at a fine retail establishment I noticed the tag for Lego Batman. I asked the clerk if they had any more. He went to the back and found one, but when he went to ring it up the computer would not let him...

I did end up picking up a larger 360 harddrive. Awesome side effect of the new drive is that the system is faster...

Watched True Blood, Entourage, Skins, HIMYM, and Big Bang Theory.

It's Jim Party and I won't blog if I don't want to

It was Jim 31st Birthday. Went to a bowling alley and George's. Did really well my first game but really crappy the second. Managed to unnaturally twist my elbow not bowling but standing in the lobby after bowling. Mrs. D makes good cake.

Played Disgaea 3 and Spider man Friend or Foe.

Watched a crap load of TV while deconstructing Lego sets. It has all kind of run together but I mostly got caught up on weekly series as of Saturday..

Sunday, September 21, 2008

Pre Lego Part-a

Lazy day.

Played Spider-man Friend or Foe and Disgaea 3.

Watched Fringe, Burn Notice(2), Psych, Primeval, Best Week Ever, and a Code Monkey while deconstructing a bunch of Lego sets.

Jim brought Kendrix over and since they won't be here for the Lego Building Part-a, we built a bunch of sets. George came over after closing the Stop and joined us. There was one more set built but I parted it before I had the idea for the photo op.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

That stinks...

I have a new co-worker that perfumes themselves... It is giving me a headache and I think I am alergic to it...

Went home early. I don't know how people with migranes get anything done. Felt better after leaving so played Incredible Hulk got pissed when it locked up again. I had recently saved at least. Started Spider-man Friend or Foe. Started out fun but is now kind of repetitive. Also Spider-man is not very spider like. Would be better as say a Daredevil game or least engine.

Watched Stargate Atlantis and True Blood. I am interested in True Blood. It starts slow but seems to be picking up nicely.

Thursday, September 18, 2008

Paul Smash!

Played Incredible Hulk when I got home. My goal was to smash as much stuff as I could. I was very close to unlocking the achievement for destroying all the building in a section of New York when the game locked up... Almost two hours down the drain. I am actually not playing the game for achievments but there are a bunch of feats in the game that unlock special move and powers and almost every achievment is also a feat so if I want super ground pound I need to destroy a section of new york...

Watched Eureka (2 eps) and House while doing stuff on the pc. I really don't know why I like House as much as I do. The cases are so predictable every week and the lead is a jerk but it always seems to be the first of the watch while doing stuff programs...

Started on cleaning the spare room when I got the call that my guest cancelled. More Hulk for me...

Got Toys 3 and 4 in the Lego Batman Happy Meal toys. Looks like I missed 1 and 2...

Yummy Ice Cream

Went on a sales call in Bellevue. Stopped in Whole Foods for lunch and found Ben and Jerry's Cininum Bun Ice Cream. Still really tasty.

Hit the Stop for Comic Wednesday.

Went to Applebee's with Q. Went home and watched the final Wipeout of the Season, The Shield and Do Not Disturb. DND is my first cut of the year. The quality of the writers did not show through that pile of poo. I was also cheated by Wipeout... The synopsis on Tivo said the hosts were going to run the course. That was BS since the runs that were supposed to be the host were stunt people...And it was anouther clip show!!!!

Today was the 5 sesion of the 100 pushup challenge. It was the first day where I felt like I had nothing left in the tank at the end. I only managed 75 in five sets. That is a long way to go to get to 100 in one set...

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Go Spritle Racer Go

Still feels weird going to get lunch by self...

Got my Google Reader to zero for the first time since before DragonCon durring lunch. Not all were read because I did some feed trimming.

Dropped off some blankets and pillows to Goodwill.

Picked up the Speed Racer BluRay. Still amazing but if you missed it in the theater you missed out. I also really liked the special features.

Played some Disgaea 3 and Incredible Hulk. Got a remote sensor bar so I can now Wii again. I predict some Boom Blox in my future.

Going to read some Wolverine Lifeblood and then hopefully get some sleep.

Monday, September 15, 2008

Operation Monday

Scott was back for a couple of hours... We had some Teriyaki...

Went to the stopp and played some Magic with George.

Came home and finished Mass Effect. Then started cleaning for when the cleaning lady comes tomorrow.

Watched Entourage, Skins, Primeval, and Weeds.

Week two of the pushup challenge is underway. Seems to be working...

11:30 and I am not tired in the least. Will start reading Wolverine Lifeblood again now that I am caught up on comics again.

Squish

Got up way early to take Drew to the airport.

Came home and started laundry.

Headed into the office for a few hours to work on the busted server. Thankfully had Scott's help or I would still be there.

Played Mass Effect and Disgaea 3. Watched Stargate Atlantis, BWE and Privleged. I enjoyed Privleged. I am definatly leaning toward the keeper for this one.

Paulapaloza - day 2

Drew and I are both early risers so we were both up and around much too early. We headed out and stoped at the office to see Beau. I got stuck looking at a server issue while they caught up. Drew and I then headed to the Lego Store to pick up the new key chains. I then took Drew to Qdoba before heading to my place to get picked up by 1.0.

Our first stop was the Freemont Troll. Drew is going to send me a picture of me picking the Troll's nose...

Next we met up with the Posse and hit the SciFi Museum. Not as cool as the Museum of my minds eye but much cooler then I had been lead to believe by others...

We then all headed over to the Melting Pot for a three hour meal that was quite yummy.

We then all rallied to George's where we had Rock Band and Ice Cream Cake. I got three talking cards two of which were the same Homer Simpsons phrase I was quite fun to open them at the same time.

No gaming today but I did manage to rip the tongue of my relativly new shoes. Just as I had managed to break them.

Paulapaloza - day 1

This post and the next have been time delayed for reasons that will become clear.

I have good friends...

Today my friends started a two day celebration of my birthday. The theme was doing things on my 101 list.

I left work early so that I could get some cleaning and gaming done before 2.0 picked me up for my secret celebration. Played Mass Effect and Disgaea 3 and watched Do Not Destirb and Wipeout while straighting up around the place. I finally got the kitchen table back together.

2.0 arrived with E and 1.0 and the four of us headed down south to Key Arena where Todd had scored us some tickets to the Storm final home game of the season. After that we headed to a pub resteraunt where I had some really good Prime Rib. George took me home where I was shocked to find Drew waiting in front of my place. MA George Drew and I went inside and chatted for a couple of hours before heading to bed.

Best Birthday in Two Decades

Great day!!!

Had Steak and Prawns for lunch. Toured a pasta plant in preperation for my next project. They gave me 20 pounds of pasta that was made yesterday.

Talk to the nieces for a while.

Played some Mass Effect until I joined 1.0 for dinner at Qdoba. Later had Ice Cream with 1.0 and Q.

Talked to lots of people and got lots of text message.

Cheated Death Again

Aparently today was just a startup test for the Large Hardron Collider, so no mini black holes were even possible today... Guess I should not have goofed off so much yesterday.

Made some progress on a work project. That must mean that I won't get to touch it again for at least a week.

Played more Mass Effect.

Watched The Shield, Entourage and Weeds.

Enjoyed my comic Wednesday. Discovered something with George that I will talk about when I have time to do it. All I have to save is Damn You George!!! Stop dragging me in.

I should mention that I hate Steve Jobs. Just as my return window closes he anounces a new iPod Touch. Don't get me wrong I love my Touch I would just like to have saved 100 dollars and had an external volume control.

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

Last Day On Earth?

If those pesky science geeks end up making a mini black hole tomorrow then today was my last one. Not surprisingly it was a lot like most of my days..

Played some Mass Effect and Disgaea 3. Cleaned the spare room while watching Mad Men and a Code Monkey. I really need to get my shit organized and make some where shit goes plans...

Monday, September 8, 2008

Nine Months Later...

And I finally have a game I want for the PS3. Picked up Disgaea 3 today. I really enjoyed the first two on the PS2 and had been looking forward to this release but had not been paying attention to the release date. So when I found one copy at Best Buy today I could not resist. I did save the reciept if it is needed... I am only about 20 minutes in to the game but I am slightly disapointed in the look of the game. I have not found anything in the game that could not have been done on the PS2. That being said the humor and gameplay seem to be intact so I really have nothing to complain about.

Played some Mass Effect. Hit a wall and was able to get around it. The combat has been very easy for the last couple of hours so I was kind of surprised when the difficulty jumped up. It took me a couple attempts but I was able to get past the trap and had fun doing it.

Watched Psych and Terminator: SCC. Also watched an episode of Exo Squad from the DVD set I picked up in Atlanta. The first episode is kind of disjointed but it still stands up better then a lot of my old favorites.

Started the 100 pushup challenge again. My previous attemt was interupted by cons, sars and work...

Sunday, September 7, 2008

I swear this is not Tom's Blog

Got up this morning and found this on the patio at my parents place.

After breakfast and conversation, we headed to White Samon/Bingem to see where my mom works. Afterwards we went to the Huckelberry Festival. I was disapointed in the lack of Huckelberries at their own festival. Just one booth with Pie and T-shirts. We went across the way to Solstace Pizza for some really good pizza with salmon and Sour Creame. Was much better than it sounds. Stopped at Dickey's fruit stand to get some Peaches for Mom and some Huckelberries for Q.

Headed home while stopping at many Wal-Marts (exclusive Lego set), Targets (JLU figures) and Best Buy (gift for Mom).

Traded Huckelberries for an invite to the Nelson family dinner.

Played some Mass Effect and watched Skins.

Catching up on some trades from the last two weeks...

And the Sky was Full of Stars

Made the long trek to Oregon to spend the weekend with the 'rents.

Things I noticed on the trip:
- The Great Wolf Lodge is new and HUGE. The water slide looks fun.
- Centralia has really boomed West of the freeway. When I lived there there wasn't crap to do one the West side.
- There are a crap load of different Energy Drinks (3 refrigerator cases) for sale but no one carries Barqs.

Spent some time fixing the entertainment components. DVDs now in 5.1 Your welcome Mom.

I have NO cell service at all but they do have a wi-fi connection so I can still send this missive to Blogger. Is strange being disconnected from world, not that anyone ever calls me. :)

Watched Definitely Maybe. A little slow and cutesy but overall a good flick.

More things I forgot to mention... Started Wolverine: Lifeblood on Tuesday. Good story but not tied into continuity at all. It is if Wolverine had never joined the Xmen. Plus he had claws in WWII. Also watched The Perfect Storm on the plane on Wednesday.

Friday, September 5, 2008

Come in to my World

Got up way to early to help in the falling apart plant. Determined that it was not my fault and helped them find the culprit.

Changed the oil in the car.

Played a bunch of Mass Effect.

Cleaned up while watching Eragon (kind of ass) and Stargate Atlantis. In the cleaning I hooked up the cable box again and watched the end of BloodCopy. Now ready to watch Tru Blood.

Spent some time flipping through the onDemand videos to find a really cool one that I saw in Atlanta. Found it and will post on main blog when I get a chance.

Forgot to mention watching the Avengers Next DVD on Tuesday. Some cool stuff but overall I felt it scued a bit young for me... But then I am really old.

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Comic Thursday

Sideview of cake from yesterday. Had to head out to a things falling apart call at work...

Comic Thursday :)

Watched Primeval and Mad Men.

Played some Mass Effect.

Just read comics and went to bed early for early am trip to falling apart plant...

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Back in the office

First time back in the office in about two weeks and there was cake. Not for me being back but just in general. The awesomeness was that it was shaped like a hamburger and fries.

Non-comic wednesday :(

Watched the first episode of the final season of the Shield and the latest Skins.

Played some Team Fortress II with the guys.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Dragon Slain

Returned home on AirTran (still a real airline) Was almost late. Picked up by Jim. Had some Red Robin. Picked up comics from last week. Watched Middleman and went to bed early.

Live from the corner of Peachtree and Peachtree

It seems like every street in Atlanta is named Peachtree. As you can tell they even meet up sometimes.

Today was the final day of DragonCon. I did not have much work to do so I was able to spend some time exploring the con rooms. Overall I was kind of disapointed. There was not much going on. I guess panels and side events are what make Dragon special...

After the con, Froggy took is all out to dinner. The Sushi was very good. Afterwords we went to the bar in the Hyatt and bs'ed until the bar closed. Heard an interesting story about the hottie from yesterday.

Had an other interesting cab ride back to the hotel. Turns out our cabby was drunk off his ass and weaving all over the road but I failed to notice since I was behind the driver and talking with th girls... Afterward they told me and I kind of freaked out. I so wish that I had known so that I could have gotten the cab number. I hope he did not hurt anyone.

Go Go Gadget Condom Part Duex

Aparently I accidentally hit send when I was trying to answer the phone...

Stories in correct order of occurance but in reverse of the tease...

My first failed hookup came early in the day and was totally planned on my part. A very pretty asian girl has a very strong crush on me. Surprisingly I actually noticed but then it was quite apparent when she was letting people go before her so that she could have me sell her one of her many photo ops. The nail that complete ruined any chance of her scoring my digits was when she was hanging out talking to me when it was slow, I asked if she had stayed up late drinking the night before and she said she was not 21 yet In other words she was not even born we I graduated High School.

My second failed hookup was totally my fault but mainly because I am as dense as a black hole. I have spent the last three days interacting with a lot of really nice people that are huge fans of the celebrities we are photographing. One of Marsters fans really stood out for me because she was incredible hot. Well this evening she stopped by to pick up her picture from the day and she stopped and chatted. It turns out the she is an actress that has been in all of the Law and Orders, Boston Leagle, and couple of shows and some movies that have not been released yet. In our conversation she mentioned that she has no plans for the evening and that she is here alone. It was not until it was pointed out later by the person that was at the sales table with me that I came to realize that she was totally tring to get me to take her out to dinner. Afterwards I also find out that she had apparently been asking one of the women that was helping at the sales table about me... As Q would say "Still single."

Despite that setback today was a pretty good day. Almost great if it was not for the Cluster becoming a Cluster! when on of the printers broke leaving me to explaing to a bunch of disapointed fans why there photos were not ready.

I did sleep in when I discovered that unles you set it correctly it only makes the alarm sound once...

Got to spend a half an hour wandering the floor and had some awesome teriyaki...

Went to the Harry Potter theamed Yule Ball and once again regretted that I had not charged my camera battery...

Wandered around and explored the night events...

Got a cab that broke down on the highway and spent a very enjoyable hour talking politics with my black, female, republican taxi driver. Not that I want to label her or anything. It was really interesting to here about the election from her point of view...

Go Go Gadget Condom

Is something I might have said if I was not so dense or had lower morals.

Stupid camera or stupid Paul

I forgot to charge the battery of my camera so I am stuck with my crappy cell phone camera to document the freakiness of this place. I have seen some great costumes.

Crappy day working at the cluster. Don't really feel like airing my shit to the world.

Read some more Fantastic Four War Zone hope to finish tonight.

Friday, August 29, 2008

Protecting Atlanta

Busy day...

Aparently my snoring drove out my roommates... Did not find out about this until later, I kind of blame them for heating the room to 80 after I went to bed but they need to grow up.

Got to the con at about 9 and worked my tail off selling shit all day.

Tried to call it an early night but was thwarted by the indesesion of others for 2 plus hours.

Listened to Empire and read some more War Zone. Played some FFTA2 while waiting for the ride to show.

Tomorrow should be busy but I have time to see some of the con on saturday.

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Setup for DragonCon

Got up and walked around crappy hotel.

Went to con hotel and helped setup. Made some posters and handed out flyers.

Went to Hooters with the crew. Cajan Spice Wings are freakin' awesome. It makes me sad that Lynnwood Hooters closed.

Read some more Fantastic Four War Zone. Forgot to mention that I started listening to Empire by Orson Scott Card. Still listening today.

Played some FFTA2.

Thing I noticed today. People that can drink today were not alive when I graduated High School...

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Back on the road again

Got up really early today so that I go to Atlanta to help Froggy out with his photo shoots at DragonCon. I flew on AirTran which is aparently a real airline. I know I hd never heard of it before. It was a direct flight which was nice but there was only light snacks for food.

On the plane I watched Walk The Line on the Touch. I then read some more of the Fantastic Four: War Zone and played some FFTA2.

Froggy picked my up and we went to the Hotel to begin the setup. Aparently we are going to have 45+ different celebrities everyday with some of the stars expecting over 300 people. Line control is going to be scary. I left my stuff to do bag in the van so found my self quite board since there was nothing to do.

DragonCon is kind of different because it is not held in a convention center but is instead held in three hotels in Downtown Atlanta. So nearly 50,000 moving between the different lobbies. It should be insane.

Went to Pig N Chik for dinner. The Meat was awesome but the sause was only so-so.

Staying at an Extended Stay for tonight only. The place is a dump and my roommate has been smoking in the room. Plus she has problems shutting up...

Watched some Bones with Froggy before heading back to my room to get some sleep for tomorrows long day.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Stupid Blogger

It appears that my emails have not been making it to blogger to appear on this blog. I am swamped at the moment and heading to DragonCon in the early AM. I will keep making the nightly updates and will post when able...

Impending Lack of Doom

Long day at dirty plant but not as long as I feared.

Watched Weeds and Eureka and played some Mass Effect before calling it a early (10:00 pm) night.

Read some more Fantastic Four War Zone. For a popcorn book this one is better than most. Nicely ties in to Continuity of the time of print.

Monday, August 25, 2008

Anouther Day

Early rise to hit nice plant.

Played some Mass Effect. Then watched Mad Men, Primeval, Skins, and Middleman while packing for the DragonCon.

Read some more Fantastic Four War Zone

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Lazy Sundays should not be so busy

Forget to mention that last night was a game night at the Stop. BTW when disadvantage of a public blog is that I can't tell some stories for fear of hurting feelings...

The Jasons crashed at my place, so I layed in bed and watched last weeks Mad Men to let them sleep in a bit. I did get them up in time for us to meet Jim D, Beau and Mary Anne at the cheep showing of Death Race. The action was cool but the talkie bit were way slow.

The Jasons and I headed back to my place and I played some Mass Effect then Duece and I broke out his copy of Army of Two for a while.

We then went to George's to celebrate Q's very belated birthday. Conversation and Ice Cream cake for all!! Presents only for the BB-day girl.

Started reading Fantastic Four War Zone. I am going to try and slam through some Popcorn Books.

Under my roof

The Jasons, Jim D, Beau, Q and Sean helped me move the shit from storage unit to my garage storage.

Played a bit of the Hulk and watched Duece play CoD4.

Watched the new Psych episode.

Palindromes are fun

Especially when they are you Xbox Live achievement score. Totally unplanned but that actually makes it cooler.

Mildly productive day at work. Went to the new Rock Wood Fired Pizza for lunch. Kind of expensive but good none the less. They are building a Red Robin a couple of blocks from the office.

Went home and played a lot of Mass Effect followed by Burn Notice and Stargate Atlantis followed by even more Mass Effect.

Reading the Middleman collection. I am shocked at how faithful the Tv show is. The first two episodes are almost an exact lift from the first two mini series.

Header Missing

Today was a better day. Had same training on how to solve a problem at the dirty plant. Went to a meeting about one of the four jobs that I have been indirectly assigned and it turned out to not be a Paul job!!! Went to comic Wednesday chated with many had dinner with Jim D and Q. Stayed and talked with Q after dinner for a while and now have better outlook on life. It is good to have good friends.

Played some Mass Effect and Incredible Hulk. The story in the Hulk kind of blows but it is fun to wreck things.

Just reading new comics and trades tonight. Should finish Howard the Duck Omnibus tomorrow.

Everything is better with a 'zilla at the end

Back at the dirty plant. Spent hours talking about the fact their system will never be better than 95% if they don't fix mechanical issues...

Currently have three multi-month full time projects that look to be happening at the same time... Sometimes I hate my job.

Today should have been someones 40th birthday... Don't drink and drive. It makes Paul depressed.

Watched a new show on BBC America called Skins. It is kind of a Freaks and Geeks for the brits but a lot racier. So far there have been two episodes and I am loving it.

Also watched anouther Code Monkeys and the new Eureka.

Played some Mass Effect and wanted to break things so played some Hulk then noticed that you unlocked things in the Hulk by having an Iron Man save so played a bit of that to.

I am reaching the point in the Howard the Duck Omnibus were things are falling apart. In the intro to the Omnibus it is mentioned that know one writes Howard as well as Gerber and I most say that is so true. All of the fill in issues are complete crap. I am not looking forward to the last two issues because they are not Gerber and were writen years after the first series ended.

Mr Sparkle

Went to a different Jobsite today... Oh so much cleaner. My laptop is still discusting even after two attempts to clean.

New cleaning lady started today. Unfortunatly it was not a good test of her skills since the place need some serious cleaning and because of all the work and the heat last week, I still have boxes and other stuff everywhere. Hope to have the Main living areas up to snuff before I leave on my to to Atlanta.

Watched Venture Bros and played some Braid and Geometry Wars 2 while the cleaning lady was cleaning. Then I went to get a haircut and hit the TRU BOGOHO sale on 360 games (Iron Man and Hulk). Then I played Mass Effect for a while then watched Middleman while unpacking.

Howard calls...

Opps I did it again

I am completely shocked!!! At least two people read the Super Boring Blog and noticed I failed to post yesterday...

Went to see Tropic Thunder. It was funny but not Best Movie of All Time as some felt.

Dueuce hung at my place all day because it was much too hot at his pad. I watched him kick ass at Soul Caliber 4 then he finished the campaign of Gears of War with Beau. I started putting stuff back in Bookcases.

Watched No Reservations in HD off one of the pay channels. Romantic Comedy with no humor and Zeta Jones has lost a level or three on the smokin' hot scale. Still mighty fine though...

Watched anouther episode of Code Monkeys.

In the home stretch on the Howard the Duck Omnibus over 5/8ths done.

Imagine Something Hot

It was quite warm today. It did not help that Sean and I increased the potential energy of a bunch of stuff that had been temperarly moved to the comic room. It has now temperarly been moved to the second floor while I prep the spare room for all the stuff that belongs in there. I got a good start in there and would have gotten a better if it had actually cooled down tonight...

Watched Stargate Atlantis, an episode of Code Monkey and episode of Witchblade Anime (the last two were free on Xbox Live).

Started Mass Effect and Braid. Both on the 360.

Still reading Howard the Duck Omnibus

The Soul will burn because it is so damn hot

Left work early...

Beau had the day off so we hung out for a while and played some Soul Caliber 4.

Watched Weeds, Eureka, Burn Notice, Psych and some lame movie about Boys and Girls Getting Down that I taped off Showtime. Now that I have the Tivo HD with the cable card I have started looking at the movies in HD and recording any that catch my eye. So far I have been disapointed with every pick.

Finished off PuzzleQuest expansion. Last boss was very tough he seemed to be extremely lucky and kept getting free turn after free turn.

Still reading Howard the Duck Omnibus. About half done and it is still very entertaining.

While watching TV I put my cabling from one side of the room to the other all of it went under the baseboard really nice except where it is most visible under the front window.

Thursday, August 14, 2008

I wasn't even supposed to be here today.

The plan: Go in to work for a few hours so that I could get ready for my Monday Startup.

The Reality: Back at emergency startup location doing crap that could wait until next week. At least this time I got to leave at 9 PM on the same day I arrived.

I did get a few minutes to play some PuzzleQuest and Geometry Wars 2.

Read some more Howard the Duck.

Weirdness. I have started to get CNN and MSNBC news allerts to my personal email address. They don't appear to be spam but I can't turn them off because I don't know the password that was used to create the alerts...

Work Sleep Comics Sleep

That was my day. Going to sleep now.

Work mess

It is currently 3 am and I have been onsite is this very messy jobsite since 11 am and don't expect to leave anytime soon. This was an unplanned emergency start up that I was roped in to covering.

Since I have been working I have watched nothing read nothing and played nothing.

Monday, August 11, 2008

Lego Violation

Went into the storage room and noticed that when viewed from certain angles Lego Dude is violating the earth as Spongebob looks on in discust. Totally unplanned but funny none the less.

Today is the first day I have really felt 100 % since returning from San Diego. I still have my standard hacking cough but my nose is not stuffy and my head and throut no longer hurt. Hopefully the cough will become under control in a reasonable time again. That would be sweet...

After work went to the Stop and played Magic with George. I am not a huge fan of the current block of cards but we had some good duels today. Maybe because I beat George best two out of three with both decks... Even with George working his cheater mojo with the petal to the metal. Yes I am that good. :)

After the dueling returned home and started putting the office together while watching Venture Bros, Middleman and Mad Man. Middleman was awesome tonight with Kevin Sorbo as Middleman 69 and Wendy finally wearing the skin tight jump suit.

I am surprised how much I am enjoying the Howard the Duck Omnibus. I have read some HoD in the past but it is a much better experience reading the series in the correct order. As a plus the concept is so simple and out there the writer does not have to devote page after page explaining the concept That is one thing that I have against most of the Omnibuses, they don't read well as a trade...

More Swag

Before San Diego, I won a Hamlet 2 prize pack. The last piece of the pack just arrived and it is the Rock Me Sexy Jesus Doll. I have no idea if the movie is going to be any good but they sure are putting out a lot of swag.

Instead of being productive I decided to spend the day playing games. One game in particular: Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 1... There is more to the title but I am too lazy to look it up. I enjoyed the game but I doubt I am going to get the next episode unless it is cheaper. Just not that much fun.

Watched the first episode of Primeval. Not sure I can buy a secret organization that hunts Dinosaurs... Also watched some more Dead Zone on DVD.

Felt like reading an Ominbus and the only one easily grabed was Howard the Duck so that is the current project.

Nothing to see here

Did not feel like getting up from the Plush to actually take a picture, so you will have to deal with words only.

Spent the day picking up and gaming. Played some PuzzleQuest Geometry Wars 2 and the Braid demo.

Jim Beau Mary Anne and George came over and watched the Olympics. I could hardly be less excited. I am anoyed with the fact that NBC keeps showing stuff with a Live indicator when it is NOT live.

Started watching Season 2 of the Dead Zone.

Friday, August 8, 2008

Like there is no tommorow

Spent more money today. This time on new speakers. I had had the same speakers for nearly 20 years and found what appears to be a screaming deal on some Monitor Audios...

Watch Burn Notice Psych and Last Comic Standing all recorded in HD on the newly cable carded Tivo HD.

Spent a lot of time poorly hiding cables. I will need to get a better long term solution...

One of my favorites

Image recently released the complete Scud The Disposable Assassin Trade. I have been a fan of Scud since I first discovered the series on my first trip to San Diego back in 95. The creator recently finished the story so that the complete trade would be complete and I am surprised at how well the overall story holds up.

I watched Starship Troopers 3 Maurauder today. I loved it! Just the right combination of action, camp, violence, irony, sataire, and gratutitous nudity.

Played some PuzzleQuest to keep the 360 off my back.

Going to finish Who Can Save Us Now? Before lights out.

What I was saw last night

I left work early because I was falling asleep at my desk. Ended up taking two separate naps and still getting over 9 hours sleep, which is why there was no daily post.

Felt tired and run down all day.

Watched Eureka and I survived A Japanees Gameshow.

Read comic Wedneday comics.

Played a little FFTA2 and Puzzle Quest.

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

After

Jim and I were trying to stay ahead of the carpet layers so I did not get a picture with the empty room so you will have to live with one with some of the stuff back.

I am very very tired. Moving heavy stuff when medicated for a cold leads to very tired Paul. Did manage to get TV hung, XBox 360 hooked back up, bed refilled (so comfy), and BBQ on deck. It is beginning to fill like home again.

Watched The Queen on my Touch while waiting on the carpet dudes. Interesting movie about a fairly recent event that I did not know much about.

Watched The Middleman and Wipeout.

Played some FFTA2 and PuzzleQuest Expansion. Also tried the Geometry Wars 2 Demo. I will probably buy the full game but I will never be any good at that game I am just too old!!

Still reading Who Can Save Us Now? Only one story to go so I will probably finish up tomorrow.

Monday, August 4, 2008

Before...

Tomorrow begins the last and most expensive stage of the remodel. This should be my last night with the crappy carpet that came with this place. I hope I like the new carpet on the floor as much as I did at the store.

Left work early to prep for the carpet install. Jim D came over and help with the heavy stuff which was good because my ass is being kick by this crud again. It is like every other day I feel like crap.

Watch last nights Venture Bros and Mad Men. This weeks Mad Men was entertaining unlike last weeks.

Still reading Who Can Save Us Now? I have been not reading much so it has been a slow go but I would recommend this book to any one that likes independent super hero stories. They are just off kilter enough that they would not work in a mainstream universe.

No Photo Today

To busy getting shit done...

Or maybe I forgot and I am too lazy to get out of bed...

Finished getting the upstairs/downstairs ethernet connection pulled. Touch up painted the trim. Moved some stuff for Carpet Day. Hung the TV support for mounting of TV after carpet install.

Watched some more Dinosaurs on DVD and the last part of the 1st season of Nip/Tuck on DVD. Watched The Mist. Great Movie!! Watched all of the current episode of BloodCopy and the first episode of 30 Days on Night: Dust to Dust onDemand. onDemand occasionally has things that make me think twice about giving up the piece of shit cable box...

Going to read some Who Can Save Us Now? And get some sleep.

Go Go Godzilla

Picture of the one of the few things I bought for my self in San Diego.

Desided that I need to take a no medicine sick day and just let the cold kick my ass for the day. I have had good success with this statagy in the past.

Cleaned out both DVRs. Finished up American Dad and watched Heatstroke and watched the latest Psych and Weeds. Then I watched WarGames and Triping the Rift The Movie. WarGames really holds up well while TtRTM was crap I liked the TV show much beter.

Ow!

Was feeling tons better today but at about 8 pm got a stuffed ear. I took some decongestant which usually helps but no long this time. No plugged nose but ear still plugged. I tried gum and yawning with no luck as well. I tried a hot shower (as scene on the internet) and that help a bit. It is really nice to have radient floor heat with water. I don't think I have ever been anywhere that I could take 30 minute showers without any temp decrease. Kick ass my ear just popped!!!

Was taunted by the empty JLU pegs again. They did have some more of the Crisis figures though.

Picked up the trim paint today. Baring lazyness sickness or better plans should have that done tommorow.

Watched Last Comic Standing, Burn Notice, Doctor Who and Stargate Atlantis.

Got the con swag from Jim and spent the evening sorting. A lots of stuff but not as much as I remembered.

Holy Crap Parking Spots

After a year there are finally some guest parking spots in my complex again The construction crew is wrapping up and moved their trailer today freeing up 6 guest spots.

Went to work today... Still a little stuffed up though but no longer feverish or aching.

Had dinner with Kendrix and a large group of the gang. Much conversation.

Finished Metal Gear Solid 4. Overall I would rate it a B-. Too many cutscenes and not enough sneaking. But it looked nice.

How I Spent My Wednesday

Stayed home to kick the con-SARS in the ass. Not having the home set up kind of makes being sick kind of sucky. Normally I can watch stuff recorded on the downstairs Tivo on the bedroom Tivo but since the bedroom is in pieces I had to get up to watch TV :( I guess it is for the best because the air mattress is not that awesome for spending lots of time on.

Watched Wipeout, I Survived A Japanees Gameshow, Mad Men, Burn Notice, Last Comic Standing, and the last of Death Note.

Hit Target for some cold medicine and found two of the new Crisis figures. I totally love this set.

Stoped at the Stop and got my comics.

Early bed time...

Con SARS?

Either that or airplane SARS. I was feeling fine until I woke up this morning. Now I have a sore throught and ache all over. Yuck.

Left work early and watched Stargate Continuum. Which was fun but predictable.

Got my plane reservations for DragonCon. Apparently Froggy is going to have a team of 12 assistants. This should be interesting...

I also caught up on some tv with Middleman, Psych, Wipeout, BWE and I survived a Japanees Gameshow.

Read some more Who Can Save Us Now? I am really digging.

Early bed to see if I can get better.

Monday, July 28, 2008

Take Me Home

Made it home for a Comic Monday...

Took flight from San Diego to Salt Lake City to Seattle. Got a ride from 20 'cause he da' man. Grabed food and comics and had an uneventful night.

Read a bunch of Who Can Save Us? On the plane. Also finished The Plot to Save Socrates. It was really quite interesting. Recommended if you like complex time travel stories.

Watched Doctor Who, Stargate: Atlantis, and Venture Bros.

Played some FFTA2.

Back to work tomorrow. And after work I will revamp my email system so that I am not using a catch-all since I received over 2,000 email bounce backs since Friday.

Even the buses are topless

Last day of the con. It rocked. Had a great time and did lot of cool things.

I am apparently now a part of the Dharma Institute.

I now have 5 more shirts then hangers.

Neil Gaimen on Batman.

Legion on Smallville writen by Johns.

Starfleet has a shortage of Welders.

Still reading Who Can Save Us and playing FFTA2.

Late night going to bed...

I feel safer allready

As seen in many of the buisnesses in San Diego.

I am still a con man. Started the day in line with Drew to get in line for the Heroes panel. They showed us the first episode of the season. Which was cool.

From there Drew and I went upstairs to Room 20 so that we could see the Dollhouse and Battlestar panels. Nothing exciting in the Dollhouse panel. Just Josh and Helo from Battlestar hitting on Eliza. The Battlestar panel was cool because it was moderated by Kevin Smith who kept the conversation flowing and brought out the humor out of the cast. They also showed us the trailer for Caprica which looks interesting but not what I expected.

After that I started wandering the floor on a swag hunt. I bought for my self some really cool Ultimate Goodzilla figures.

While I was wandering I ran across the start of the Fringe scavenger hunt. I figured I had some time to kill so why not. The first clue sent me about 10 feet away. This was looking really easy. The second clue was a street corner about 6 blocks from the center. There I found a storage container filled with bottles of Ginger Ale. On the bottle was anouther address where I found a pen of cows. There I found anouther address and promptly headed in the wrong direction. I wish I could say that I quickly realized my mistake. After a cource correction I ended up at a parking garage where on the roof they had an inflatable screen for showing the pilot. I was not going to subject myself to that again so I took my t-shirt and headed back to the hotel.

After a quick recharge I headed back and watched the first three episodes of Wolverine and the X-men. I had a young man with a HUGE head and an afro in front of me so it was not the greatest viewing situation but I really thought it was pretty cool.

Still reading Who Can Save Us Now and listening to The Plot to Save Socrates. One thing that bugs me about The Plot is that they keep mentioning that everyone knows how Socrates died. Am I the only one that did not?

Still playing FFTA2. I think the battery life in my DS is shorter than it should be. I don't think I got five hours of play before the red light turned on.

Friday, July 25, 2008

Despite General Consensus Con-goers are Apparently Not Aliens

More con-ing. Not as an early start but still got there before the doors opened. Finished up with getting all the pictures I wanted to take. Overall Swag factor for the Day was positive.

Got the exclusive Lego Indy set. Totally not worth the cost but I am still glad I got. I also got a Joker and Batman Mini-fig set for playing Lego Batman that was kind of cool too.

Stood in line to get in the room for the Venture Bros Panel. Met a nice women in front of me in line. We will see if she actually calls me tomorrow or not.

I was blown away with the number of people that give a shit about Ghost Hunters. I figures that was going to be a dead spot in the schedule but it turns out it was not. We got in when over half the room cleared after the panel got out. The Xbox 360 original content looks interesting. Basically Horror directors given 10 grand to make a 10 minute comedy short.

I have a new favorite Ice Cream. Cinamon Bun from Ben and Jerry's. Oh so good.

Read some more Who Can Save Us Now? I really dug the 3rd story.

Played some more FFTA2.

Thursday, July 24, 2008

Best Swag Ever?

Found in a swag bag that Drew won in a raffle today.

Still in San Diego. Gots some swag for myself and others. Have not found anything that really interests me for me yet...

Started Who Can Save Us Now? It is a book of short stories about superheroes. The 1st story is an interesting take on the Lois Lane archetype.

Played some FFTA2 while I was waiting for the Doctor Who panel to start. I am really enjoying the game so far.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Da Plane, Da Plane

Took some jet planes to San Diego. Go Comicon!

Watched Be Kind Rewind on the Plane. The most normal Gonrea movie of all time. I have no have no idea how to spell his name.

The has been really fun. It is great to hang out with Drew and Jim. If you want to see more read my twitter: www.twitter.com/sirpalindrome

Watch the Fringe pilot. It sucked

Ready to Go!!

All packed and can't wait for my trip to San Diego to begin. With the new work responsibilities and the ongoing work on the condo, I was kind of dreading being out of town. Then suddenly I found myself really looking forward to this trip. I predict that I will have an awesome time hanging with Jim and Drew!!

I am glad I got the replacement plan on my Jawbone because it broke today. But Best Buy made the replacement really easy so I have a new charging as I type.

No JLU figures yet. Just empty pegs taunting me. Now I will have to wait until I return.

Went to the paint store and talked about how to paint the trim. Turns out they were out of the paint I needed so I will need to go back upon my return.

Started and finished Act IV in MGS4. Spoiler warning... You finally get to take a Metal Gear against anouther Metal Gear!!

Started a audiobook today. I think it is called The Plot to rescue Scorates. It is a novel about time travel. I am still tring to figure out what exactly is going on because so far each chapter has taken place in a different time period with a time traveler interacting witht the locals but not wanting to explain the how's and the why's.

Watched The Middleman and a large chunk of Weeds. I also watched a couple of episodes of Dinosaurs on DVD while packing.

Best Layed Plans

I was going to clean house and pack tonight. Instead I discover that Final Fantasy Tactics A2 was out. I have no will power.

While I was at Target I noticed the the action figure isle has been reset for the new Justice League figures...

Only TV tonight was the Venture Bros.

Finished Act III in Metal Gear Soild 4.

Played the first 3 quests in FFTA2.

Read some more A Confederacy of Dunces.

Tired...

Thank You for Participating

Spent the day playtesting again. Ended up replacing my Crackdown rackdown and Halo 3 and picking up Lost Odessy for me and Ninja Gaiden 2 for Duece. I was the first one to finish the session not that it was a race or anything... Yes it was. I rulez!! Spent some time in a one on one sesion afterwards, I guess they have my file marked with my Mutant Ability to find fault in things... Crap does that mean I have harnassed my powers for good...

My 1st Gen iPod Nano is still chugging along but its battery is not holding a charge very well. So I made the call to replace it as my travel music machine with a 16 Gig iPod Touch. My thought is that I could also use it as my airplane movie watcher as well since the PSP is so uncofortable to watch movies with. But the PSP is still better then dragging out a portable DVD player or Laptop.

Watched Psych, Burn Notice and Last Comic Standing.

I am still reading A Confederacy of Dunces. I talked to the Microsoft Developer about the book and he said he had the same comments as me and that while it remains interesting it never gets funny. I have desided that it has three days to entertain me or it is going to be dropped. I can't remember the last book that I was unable to finish.

Photo Proof of my Awesome

Technically this a picture from yesterday but since I got a chance to break out my work awesome again this morning I thought it was apropreate. This is the PLC that a programmed into submission yesterday. Would of been even quicker if they would have just accepted that I was correct the first three times I told them where the problem was. What ever will be will be.

The day started before yesterday ended with the midnight showing of the IMAX version of The Dark Knight. I liked it a lot. I want to post spoilers but will hold back.

Got home at about 3 and desided that I would dial in and check out the upgrade that was performed in Los Angelas. This was the first time I had been in there system since I rebuilt my laptop a couple of months ago and I could not find the system description anywhere. So after a while I sent out an info request and got to bed a little after 4.

I ended up waking up at 6:30 and could not fall back to sleep. I checked my email and found the info that I needed so that I was able to checkout the upgrade and verify operation.

I then watched BWE, Doctor Who, and Stargate: Atlantis before heading out.

I participated in day one of a two day playtest at Microsoft. I can't say what I was doing there and I should not even mention this but there is a condom in involved.

After the playtest I ended up hooking up with Q for Dairy Queen, George, Dr Horrible, and Ivar's. In that order actually.

Still reading A ConfederaCY of Dunces. It is still the best sleep aid ever and still not making me laugh out loud till my belly aches and my eyes water.

Dark Knight on a dark night

Currently in the Imax theater waiting for Dark Knight.

Got up early to get some stuff done before I had to go to a troubleshooting trip. I rocked the trip though and solved there problem with my code nijitsu.

Played some more MGS4 started Act 3.

No reading today....

Movie starting...

Light at End of Tunnel

Is not a train!

They put the porch lights back up today. One more sign that the heck is almost over. I am still not sold on the new colors though.

Work was all over today. I have no idea how Scott ever had time for his motorcycle porn...

Got a haircut today. I think I need to keep looking for a hair place. This place is just a little too white trash for me to feel comfortable at.

Wrapped Q's birthday present. One advantage to never being home on recycle/trash day is the large number of boxes to choose from come wrapping time.

Watched the rest of the seasons Simpsons and an American Dad. Also watched an episode of Dinosaurs on DVD while sorting clothes.

Still reading A Confederation of Dunces. I think this book is a sleep aid for me. I tried to read a bit when I got home and ended up taking a nap. That probably means that I won't be able to sleep tonight unless aCoD does its magic.

Crap forgot to mention that I have started playing MGS4 again. Finished Act II today.

Teriyaki Wednesday

For about 10 years now, me and some of the guys at work have been going to Bento Teriyaki for lunch at least one day a week. Originally it was Thursday but it soon switched to it current location of Wednesday. We would always get it to go and would call ahead. Since Scott was the person that usually called since I was driving, they got to know the collective us as Scott Today was my first Teri run since Scott moved on.

Yipee Comic Wednesday. Very small week actually under $40. All comics read in short order.

Mary Anne had surgery today for her hurt elbow. Hopefully she gets super powers with the new elbow.

Borrowed and watched Enchanted from Tom. I really like parts of it and really disliked parts of it. I am thinking slightly more bad than good.

Watched Wipeout and I Survived a Japanese Gameshow. Sad Paul :( Mary is eliminated.

Still reading A Confederation of Dunces. Need to start hustling because I want it finished before I leave on vacation...

Halfway through the 1st week of the 100 pushup challenge. The challenge is that buy the end of six weeks you should be able to do 100 pushups without stopping. Today I did 59 but that includes planned rest breaks.

Pain in my Foot

To facilate the painting of the stairs we removed the carpet from the upper stairwell. What I was not expecting was the little nails that my feet just seem to not be able to get enough of.

Work is work. Not doing anything fun at the moment.

Tried out a Temperpedic mattress at Brookstone. I think when I replace the waterbed I will probable switch to one of these. If it was not the 6k that I have spent on the remodling I would probably make the switch after the carpet...

Cleaned the kitchen today while watching the last two Reapers. I really like the end of the season and am looking forward to the shows return in the fall. A feeling I did not have before the writers strike. I also watched the new Middleman. I am really digging this show.

Picked and watched The Bank Heist. It was a bit of a bin there and done that but the fact that this is the true story that spawned all the digging into the vault stories makes it kind of special.

Still reading A Confederation of Dunces.

Was very disapointed that Dr Horrible's debut was screwed by a lack of bandwidth. Hopefully they will solve the problem tommorow.

Welcome back big guy

It was nice to be in the office for the 1st time this month.

Spent the evening watching TV while picking up. It is the first time I have had the big screen on in almost a month. I had forgot how nice it is to watch TV on a large screen.

Jim called and told me that my Crackdown case was empty so I did an inventory and found my Halo 3 case also empty and the manual for Mass Effect also missing. My first thought is one of the contractors but why did they not take the case? Second thought is a Paulflix rental but why did they not take the case?

I ordered a new cell phone battery for my phone. Currently I have to charge it every night because if I don't it goes from 70% to 10% half way through the second day. I went with an OEM battery instead of one of the many second party ones.

Watched Venture Bros, 3 episodes of Reaper, Simpsons, and Family Guy.

Still reading A Confederation of Dunces. Actually might be getting interesting...

Mission Accomplished

All that is left is some touch up and the clean up. I was surprised how much of my day was tied up doing the last little bit where the fireplace once resided.

So someone is using my domain as a spam return address. Basically I went from getting 10 to 50 spam messages a day to over 250 a day for the last few days. Almost all of these messages are auto reject messages from the original target of the spam. This is the forth time this has happened to me and just when I make the decision to switch from a catch-all approach to selective approch it has stopped. Lets hope it is soon because it is making this update process much more time consuming.

Still reading A Confederation of Dunces.About 25 % into the book and I have really felt that it is "one of the funniest books ever written". Maybe I just can't find a common view point in a spoiled lazy adult that still lives with he mother.

Watch a ton of TV today. Doctor Who, Stargate: Atlantis, Wipeout(Twoto an Eskimo virgin makes it across the Big Balls but can not find the pole. That is Irony staring you smake dab in the face), I Survived A Japanese Gameshow, BWE, Last Comic Standing(Ester Ku hot but not funny), Middleman, and Burn Notice.

Placed my carpet order. I can't wait for this hell to be over so I can get my life back...

Operation Paint Day 3

I know this is late but I have an excuse. I went to see Hellboy 2 in celebration of the paint progress. Mom, Steve, Quiana, Jim and Jason helped me knock out everything but the area where the fireplace was. That could have been done too but Quiana's Uncle Brad came over and fixed the wall texture so that it looks a ton better.

Hellboy 2 was awesome. I have not desided if that or Iron Man is my pick for the 2nd best movie of the summer. I am leaning toward HB2 because it is the Dark Horse canidate... Pun-o-rific tonight. Just an asside this has been a amazing summer for movies.

Going to read a couple of chapters of Confederation before I hit the air mattress.

EDIT: For some reason this post did not make it to Blogger. I just resent and it showed up, so I edited the sent time to put it in its proper place.

If you keep everyone busy rowing they won't have time to rock the boat

Returned home today.

Comic Friday. There was a lot of crap that was not mine in my box. It really through me off.

Started taping off molding and doors to make tommorows paint go faster.

No TV today and all the reading was comics.

WebEdit: Looks like the Picture was the problem with the original email... Here it is. If you have a reader sorry about the multiple posts...

Fire Fire

I may not be a big fan of Spokane, but I am not a pyro. Plus I have an alabi.

I just found a typo in the email address I use for these messages. I would hate to miss two in a week because of stupidity...

Thankfully today was only an 11 hour day. Limited production again but went pretty well.

Watched Superhero Movie. I found myself laughing aloud more than once and while I felt they relied on scene parady more than I like they did do a good job of general parody as well. It is hard to go wrong with Leslie Nelson

Pretty Flowers

Taken a couple of days ago on my walk back to the hotel from dinner.

14 hour day...

I was able to bring Scott in to help so I am pretty sure development is largly done. At that is left is to get some production going...

Finished the incredible Hulk novelitation. Just like the movies it was good but not as good as Iron Man.

I am going to bed now.

FW: Jawbone on an Ass

NOTE: was sent last night but to wrong address

Still in Spokane... Another long day.

Over the weekend I picked up a Jawbone II wireless headset. I really like my Blue Ant but I somehow broke the mic so no one could hear me very well. I learned my lesson this time and got the replacement plan at Best Buy so next time I can get a replacement on someone else. I did make a call with the device while in a noisy section of the plant and my callee could hear me quite well.

Picked up and watched the Batman Gotham Knight DVD. I must say that it was very good.

Only TV was Morning Express with "Robot" Meade. She still creeps me out...

Sill reading The Incredible Hulk novelitation...

The front desk ran out of cookies but they were able to find me some A&W Root Beer Barrels. Yumm.

Joined Twitter today. So far not that impressed seams like IM but not as good. Twitter name: sirpalindrome

I don't know what is going on. Either the women in Spokane are very desperate or I am starting to loose my fragile grip on reality. Today I had two different women that were not unpleasant to look at flirt with me. I think I need to remember that they are paid to be nice to me... And that Spokane really sucks.

Another week a different hotel room

Back in Spokane :( Same hotel but it is mirrored version of the room I have had the last three times I have stayed here. It is a little disconserting.

Watched the Venture Bros, Wipeout and I Survived a Japanese Gameshow on the Interwebs. Quick comment to abc.com I like the ability to watch programs I missed on the internet. I have no problem watching comercials for the privilege of watching missed programs. I do have a problem with having the program come back from the comercial after skipping 5 plus minutes of the show and having no good way to get back to where I was precommertial. I was able to have more luck using IE but it was still a substandard experience.

Still reading Incredible Hulk novelitation. Been very tired at bedtime so have not had much reading time.

Took a couple of hours to try and catch up on my Google Reader-ing while I was watching some TV on the internet. I sure missed the internet durring Operation Paint.

Exchanged a brief email with Chris turns out Billings still boring.
